In the heart of Zambia, we found a small preschool with big dreams but limited resources. Most children attended school without shoes, some with worn out uniforms and all sat on small bricks while attending school.  The school had no textbooks or supplies, teachers were not paid so they quit and the school closed.  In August, 2023, The Malima Foundation Corporation stepped in, to transform this scene of hardship into a place of hope, encouragement and community empowerment.

Our “Adopted Preschool” project provided the essentials for a quality, basic education. We supplied uniforms and shoes, ensuring that every child felt pride in their appearance. Desks and textbooks were provided, creating a conducive learning environment.  Two teachers were hired with adequate pay to ensure their dedication to educating and nurturing these young minds every day. 

Through the power of education, we have sown the seeds of a brighter tomorrow. These children are now learning, growing, and preparing for a future filled with possibilities. The Malima Foundation Corporation is working with the entire community to rally around the children and begin the process of acquiring materials to build a larger school closer to the community.
